Starting 7am, first heat scheduled to hit the water at 7:45

This weekend is Hot hot hot! Bring your suncream, because Summer ain’t over yet! Temps predicted to reach the 30’s.

Light to no wind and a nice NE swell make Sunday looking like a postcard affair! A fading long period South swell will give way to a new two day NE swell producing excellent fun 2-3’ waves. An early high of 1.88m at 7am will work nicely as the morning progresses to a low of 0.21m at 1:48pm. First light 7am, so no excuses! Be ready to surf. Plenty of nice usable banks that will open up lefts and rights, I’d imagine we’ll be at the Northern carpark. Definitely looking like a cracker of a day, so register now so we can get the heats ready and get on the water early.

Registrations must be done online in advance.  SPSC Members are free entry to all SPSC Surf Comps. 

And our standard Open comp details:

• Three divisions will be run depending on numbers: Mens, Womens and Juniors.
• There will be a heat progression system in place including a repercharge round so every surfer will compete at least twice.
• Final placings on the day will earn points for the annual Open SUP Surf pointscore.
• All competitors are expected to remain at the event site for the entire duration of the heats as judging is pre-allocated so everyone gets a turn to judge a heat.
• Heats will be 20 minutes long and run back to back.
• All competitors are expected to wear leg ropes and allocated coloured rash vests.
• Rides will be judged on style, length of ride, positioning, wave selection, difficulty of ride/maneuvers and all round performance. Points will be allocated in reflection to the intensity and difficulty of the moves performed.
• All competitors are expected to be at the marshalling tent around 7am, for a 7:20am riders briefing and 7:45am potential start. Given smooth running of heats this will have things wrapped up by around 1pm.
• All general surfing rules, common sense and good sportspersonship are expected at all times.

- $90 Full SPSC membership - Includes club Shirt. Family and couple discounts are available.
- $35 day entry for non-members
